Relaxing by the poolside, sipping lemonade

Effervescence tickles my nose

As bees buzz lazily through the thick afternoon air

Circling slowly, slowly

Angry bruised storm clouds hover on the horizon

Deep and swirling amethyst, heliotrope;

Obsidian and ebony

And so the heavens open

Pouring torrential rain saturates the ground

Steam rising from the dehydrated earth

A sudden break in the clouds

Sunshower :)

By the poolside, my lemonade lies

Filled to the brim, overflowing

Saccharine memories

Of an endless summer.
